Some of my responsibilities include but are not limited to provide administration support to the Chairman and other tribal council members. Writing memos, business letters and assist in press releases, research for the Chairman, assist in updating and maintaining media lists. I have been able to help provide support at special events in San Carlos and outside of tribal lands and help with any additional promotions and special events. I have also helped in assisting in providing a link between the Chairman’s office and other departments within the company, and between the company and external parties, as a representative of Chairman in dealings with both internal and external communications. This internship has allowed me to see the positive and negative aspects of tribal government.

My Personal Plan of Action

I plan on graduating this summer and continuing on with my education and pursue a master’s degree. In the future I hope to have a job that I enjoy and that will allow me to be able to work directly with other people.  I am not the type of person that can sit in a cubicle and simply do desk work all day.  I like to be involved with people, and I enjoy seeing other’s faces when you help them out or make their day.  I believe that I am people person. I hope I find a career that allows me to take on a new challenges and tasks and still help others in the process.  I am true believers in there are no accidents and,  I believe that whatever is meant to happen will happen, and that opportunities are everywhere. My goal in life is to try and live every day as it were my last and touch the people’s lives around me in a positive way. I look forward to every career opportunity that presents itself to me, and the personal growth that I will gain through these experiences. I strive to be positive, patient, honest, and trustworthy and hope that my practices will influence others around me.  I hope I will help organizations to make a positive difference.
